DAY 17:

I am over half way through this years Movember so I thought I would share my reasons for choosing to talk about mens mental health, of which there are several:

It has been quite a commitment and a challenge to write something from the heart everyday. Being open and writing about my feelings and observations is tough. I don’t have a plan that I’m working through, I haven’t considered how each post connects to the previous one, I’m just shooting from the hip. I sit, take a moment and allow my mind to settle on something I feel I can share with honesty and sincerity.

Some of the posts have opened up and during these I realise I could write a lot more, which is why you will see the occasional pt.1 & 2. Even then I find I’m only to scratch the surface of some topics.

My purpose land somewhere between observational writing based on life experience and guidance for those who might find some common ground with the observations made. Ultimately I’m also trying to open up a space, one that I’d like to continue in the months to come.

Of course the big big focus during this month is to raise funds for men who are struggling with thoughts of suicide and depression or suffering from physical diseases like  testicular and prostate cancer. If you are able to, please consider donating and passing this onto anyone you feel might be able to help or be helped by some of the issues I speak to in my posts.

Thank you!
