If you are anything like me; a man who thinks he can make personal changes and create a new version of the man I want to be, on my own….. we can’t, we need an outlet, people to talk to. Change something, bring something new into our everyday - new patterns, new hobbies, new people around us. Unless we have a mind quake and something from the outside world that impacts us so profoundly, that it jolts us from our comfortable behaviours, we will always struggle to impact on ourselves without a support network of some sort. Sooner or later, we slip back into the ditch of everyday thought processes and we won’t even realise it until we catch ourselves doing something familiar, something we were trying to get away from. My trigger is when I communicate less with my family, I get stuck in my head and have conversations with myself instead of with my wife and friends.

What’s your trigger?
